Gillian is a lovely English lady who lives in rural Queensland with her cattle dog Jess. She has three children living in Australia, France and England and four grandchildren. She loves meeting people and has travelled widely in Australia and is one of Australia’s best known and enjoyed authors.
Boots & Scoots is Gillian’s third children’s book to be published to date, with The Adventures of Bub and Tub series being previously released. Gillian is also the author of over ten additional adult books which include Alone, Belonging, Families, Lost, Returned, Consequences,
Travelling, Inheritance, Possession and coming in 2024… Compulsion and Fear.

Their new home on a cattle farm in the outback brings endless opportunities for mischief and fun,
both of which Boots and Scoots continue to find themselves stumbling into.
The two pups find plentiful ways to stir up the local community but quickly learn
that having fun is not always the best way to stay out of trouble.

ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR - M.K. PERRING
Growing up in England I loved reading and drawing! I was inspired by Roald Dahl, especially my favourite of his books 'The Witches', to keep making creative stories and drawing interesting characters.
Moving to Australia was a huge cultural shift for me, but I made new friends and kept being creative. I didn't always know what to pursue in life, but I had to create, I loved art. I studied films, animation, graphic design and illustrations. I became a jack of all trades!
It wasn't easy to follow my dreams, but I stayed positive, believed in myself, and listen to those who believed in me too. Now, making beautiful illustrations and working with all kinds of authors is a dream come true, and only the start of my adventure.
